Standard tuning

Comments: There is in actuality only guitar at the very end of the studio

version of Beth, but it's a great song so I've taken the liberty of

arranging the parts for acoustic guitar. Rhy. Fig 1 is based on the piano

in the intro, Rhy. Figs 2, 3 and 5 are based on the acoustic demo for

Beth, and Rhy. Fig 4 is kind of a combination of the strings and the under-

lying harmonic movement in the instumental interlude. Since people have

asked that I include chord names when doing this sort of thing they can

be found above each staff. Play fingerstyle and let ring throughout.

Key:

/ = slide up

\ = slide down

b = bend (whole step)

b^ = bend (1/2 step)

b^^ = bend (1 1/2 steps)

pb = pre-bend

r = release-bend

t = tap with righthand finger

h = hammer-on

p = pull-off

~ = Vibrato

* = Natural Harmonic

** = Artificial Harmonic

x = Dead notes (no pitch)

P.M. = Palm mute (- -> underneath indicates which notes)
