Short Stories With Tragic Endings  From Autumn to Ashes

() lift and place finger to rhythm
For the beginning, put your fingers into this chord the simple and obvious way...

 E-------|
 B---1---|
 G---2---| You will be using these notes in the process of strumming the first
 D---3---| part of this song. Be ready to lift and place first finger.

Intro Part I [listen to tbe song for tbe simple rbytbm]

 E-------------------------------------------------------------||

Intro Part III.
The RHYTHM GUITAR will repeat the same pattern, except this time LEGATTO, two
times through while the LEAD GUITAR keeps that strum pattern going, playing it
another two times. Then it simply goes into:

 E---------------------------------------------------------------||
 B---------------------------------------------------------------|| Play this
 G-----------------------------------*2--------------------------|| chord pro-
 D---3--------------------------------2--------------------------|| gression 2
 A---3--------------------------------0--------------------------|| times.
 E---1-----------------------------------------------------------||

[*Tbe second cbord can eitber be tbat or A5. Botb work.]
And it also sounds like the second guitar may be playing this chord:

 E-------|
 B-------| C5
 G---5---|
 D---5---|
 A---3---|
 E-------|

Verse One

 E-----------------------------------------------------------------------||
 B-----------------------------------------------------------------------||
 G-----------------------------------------------------------------------||
 D-------0---5-----3-----5-5-3-3-2-2-----0---5-----3-----------0---------||
 A---2-3---3---3-2---3-2-------------2-3---3---3-2---[3]-2-3-2---3-2/3---||
 E-----------------------------------------------------------------------||

^^^Play the above three times through^^^ At the end of third time, after it is
only the guitar playing, it goes into the same pattern except you switch the
order and play it twice. [Instead of 5-5-3-3-2-2 on D, start with the 2/3 slide
part.] This is a real close guestimate of what the notes are, this is the most
difficult part to hear through the entire song. Please email me if you have a
better version, or if you have difficulty with my instructions.
Moving on... The guitars stop while Malanie Wilis sings her part. [Verse Two]
Then continue on...

Just like before, except you will play it TWO times, then play the first half
[ending tbis part on "5-5-3-3-2-2"] and go into this...

Now you go back to "Intro Part II with both guitars. The First guitar is playing
the legatto version of it. The Two guitars plays this section through FOUR times.
Then Guitar One goes into "Intro Part III" WITHOUT THE LEAD GUITAR part. Guitar
One plays through this four times. The fifth time the rhythm changes...

plays eleven times through and it sounds like there is a Third Guitar...

Before I get to the Third Guitar: *After Guitar One is done with its sixth
round, it will end like this:

slows down......
While Guitars One and Two are playing I can hear a third guitar, it's those
screaming notes that you hear... I will attempt to get this right...
This is after Guitar One finished two rounds of going back to "Intro Part III"
Guitar Three...the wreck starts here...the heart is breaking...

ashes.
That's the end. Nine minutes and twenty-four seconds of pure emotion thrown into
music. I hope this wasn't hard to read. If so, let me know and I'll see what I
can do to fix it... also, let me know if there are corrections, but be sure
first. These are pretty close... almost exact I'm betting. Probabaly too
close. Have fun with it. Peace.
