[E]And so it is just like you said it would be     [A]
Life goes easy on me  [B]  [A]
most of the time[E(1]        [A]
[E]And so it is the shorter story
[A]No love, no glory
[B]No hero in her s[C#m]ky
Chorus
I can't take my eyes[A] off of you
I can't take my eyes[G#m] off you
I can't take my eyes[F#m] off of you
I can't take my eyes[E] off you
I can't take my eyes[A] off you            [B]
I can't take my eyes[A]...                 [B]

And so it is just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is the colder water
The Blower's Daughter
The pupil in denial

(Chorus)

[F#]Did I say that I[B] loathe you?
Did I say that I[G#m] want to
[C#]Leave it all beh[D#m]ind?

I can't take my mind[B] off of you
I can't take my mind[A#m] off you
I can't take my mind[G#m] off of you
I can't take my mind[F#] off you
I can't take my mind[B] off you            [C]
I can't take my mind[B]...my mind...my mind...
'Til I find somebody new

N.B.
- For the E(1) chord, just pull the little finger off and then hammer it back on as you hear it on the song.
- Where I have muted the B (5th) string on some of the chords, you can just as easily not as the chord sounds great with the open B too.
- In the Jools Holland ‘live’ version (Damien isn’t actually strumming, he plays to a backing CD) he misses out the first part of the second verse going straight to ‘And so it is the colder water…’ using the open E(1) chord.
- It’s easier to use the thumb for the ‘barring’ of the low E string as your index finger is often needed higher up.
- The are quite a few hammer-ons that I haven’t included since they would have taken too long to write down.
