Thanks for posting the chords.
The lyrics to "The Minstrel Boy" are not "traditional." They were written by the Irish poet Thomas Moore (1779-1852). The tune, "The Moreen," is a very old Irish air, of unknown authorship.
One correction to the posted lyrics:
In the last verse, it's "Thy songs" (i.e., the harp's songs) that "were made for the pure and free" and "shall never sound in slavery," not "My songs."
I think there is a chord missing in the progression. I need to actually take out my guitar and try it out. But for instance for the first line I feel like there should be another chord in around the "to the war has gone" part.
I've never acutally played the sone so I could be wrong. But it seems like there should be a chord change on each word "war has gone."
But I could be wrong.
