Wish You Were Here

by Pink Floyd

So, so ya think you can tell,
    Heaven from  hell,
    Blue skies from pain,
Can you tell a green field
    From a cold steel rail,
    A smile from a veil?
Do ya think ya can tell?

Did they get you to trade,
    Your heroes for ghosts,
    Hot ashes for trees
Hot air for a cool breeze,
    Cold comfort for change,
    Did you exchange,
A walk on part in the war,
for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here,
Were just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl,
    Year after year,
Running over the same old ground,
    But have we found
    The same old fears,
    Wish you were here

pitton (report comment to admin):

chrisread (report comment to admin):
sounds like C-G to me, can someone verify this please?
music_guy (report comment to admin):
I think it sounds great!
JackG79 (report comment to admin):
Sounds good to me. Checked a few others. Seems pretty accurate.
trapin (report comment to admin):
Its all accurate. C-G can definitely be used but it's really a choice. 12 string is essential for the intro, fill, and all the chords. Adding a six string during the chords makes it sound really great.
blackdog7 (report comment to admin):

hard to understand
nightrider767 (report comment to admin):
The intro riffs are all over the internet. But for simple "strummers" who don't want to spend a month on it, try:

G Em G Em G Em

You can throw that in between the versus too....
nicinu (report comment to admin):

borges7 (report comment to admin):
yes, its "what have we found" correctly
Bob Cummins (report comment to admin):
Can someone correct the spelling ? "Hero's" should be "heroes", and "soles "should be "souls".

Jackson 417 (report comment to admin):
I do believe it's "a walk-on part in the world for a lead role in a cage"
bonedaddy (report comment to admin):
nope, definitely war, never was world. Nice try tho
Woodsmistress (report comment to admin):
