Teach Your Children by Graham Nash

I looked at the archives and didn't see this one there.

Bascially, it's D, G, and A with a Bm thrown in on the last line
of each verse.

In several places, you can play around with the A chord on the
B string. The pattern is A Asus A A* A. I use A* because I forget the
name. The chord structures are:

       E A D G B E
A      0 0 2 2 2 0
Asus   0 0 2 2 3 0
A*     0 0 2 2 0 0

INTRO: D G D A

D                  G
You who are on the road
            D                      A
Must have a code that you can live by
    D             G
And so become yourself
            D                   A
Because the past is just a good-bye.

D                   G
Teach your children well,
               D                  A
Their father's hell did slowly go by,
    D                 G
And feed them on your dreams
             D                          A
The one they fix, the one you'll know by.

D                       G                               D
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
                         Bm   G A
So just look at them and sigh
                   D   G A D
and know they love you.

And you, (can you hear?) of tender years, (will you care?)
Can't know the fears (can you see you) that your elders grew by, (must be free to)
And so please help (teach your children) them with your youth,(you believe and)
They seek the truth (make a world that) before they can die. (we can live in)

Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

"The one they picks" I think should be "The one they fix".

Also, "you will cry" should be "you would cry"
