From: Adam Kraemer
Subject: Total Eclipse
total eclipse (from memory, so it might be a little off....).
[Bm]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [A]little bit lonely
and you're never coming round.
[Bm]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [A]little bit tired
of list'ning to the sound of my tears.
[D]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [C]little bit nervous
that the best of all the years have gone by.
[D]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [C]little bit terrified
and then I see the look in your eyes.
[F]TURN AROUND, BRIGHT EYES[Bb] Every now and then I fall apart.
[F]TURN AROUND, BRIGHT EYES[Bb] Every now and then I fall apart.
[Bm]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [A]little bit restless
and I dream of something wild.
[Bm]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [A]little bit helpless
and I'm lying like a child in your arms.
[D]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [C]little bit angry
and I know I've got to get out and cry.
[D]TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a [C]little bit terrified
but then I see the look in your eyes.
[F]TURN AROUND, BRIGHT EYES [Bb]Every now and then I fall apart.
[F]TURN AROUND, BRIGHT EYES [Bb]Every now and then I fall apar[A]t.
And I [F#m]need you now tonight[D] and I ne[E]ed you more than ev[A]er
and if you [F#m]only hold me ti[D]ght we'll be ho[E]lding on forev[A]er.
And we'll [F#m]only be making it ri[D]ght 'cause we'll ne[E]ver be wrong.
[D]Together we can take it to the [E]end of the line.
Your [F#m]love is like a shadow on me a[B]ll of the time.
I [A]don't know what to do and I'm [E/G#]always in the dark.
We're [F#m]living in a powder keg and g[B]iving off sparks.
I really need you [D]tonight, for[B]ever's gonna s[C#m]tart ton[D]ight,
for[E]ever's gonna start tonight.
[A] [F#m] [C#m]
[D] O[A/C#]nce upon a time I was falling in love but now I'm only falling
apart.
There's [Bm]nothing I can do, a[E] total eclipse of the heart.
[A] [F#m] [D] [E]
[A]Once upon a time there was [F#m]light in my life but n[C#m]ow there's only love
[in]
the [D]dark.[A/C#]
[Bm]Nothing I can say, a[E] total eclipse of the[A] heart.
Musical break and the second verse just repeat the same as the first.
Song fades out on:
[A]Turn around,[F#m] bright eyes[D] [E]
I might be off on the first section, but the rest is correct.
Oh, and it's words and music by Jim Steinman; Tyler only recorded it.

[---]Notes:
...I heard an annoying techno version of this song tonight at a dance
party, which inspired me to come home and try to do a decent-sounding
acoustic remake. the music was so loud I probably have permanent
hearing loss, so it's not my fault if these chords aren't right! :)
...lyrics nabbed from ftp.uwp.edu.
...pick the chords creatively during the verses, it sounds prettier.
...feel free to write me about corrections or enhancements, or if you're
a seattle-based musician looking for a band, or whatever!
...and the chord formations (or how I play them, anyhow):
Am x02210
G 320033
C x32010
[F] [133211]
[Bb]D# [113331]668881
D xx0232
Em 022000
A x02220
C/D x32013
