Brown Eyed Girl

Van Morrisson

Intro
 GCGD

 GCGD7G
Hey where did we go   days when the rain came
 CGD7G
Down in the hollow,   playing a new game
 CGD7
Laughin' and a runnin' hey, hey, skipping and a jumping
 GCGD7CD7
In the misty morning fog with our hearts a thumpin' and you,
 GEmCD7GD7
My brown eyed girl,        you my brown eyed girl

 GCGD7G
Whatever happened to Tuesdays and so slow
 CGD7G
Going down the old mine   with a transistor radio
 CGD7G
Standing in the sunlight laughing,  hiding behind a rainbow's wall,
 CGD7CD7
Slipping and sliding   all along the water fall with you,
 GEmCD7G
My brown eyed girl,        you my brown eyed girl

 D7
Do you remember when we used to sing
 GCGD7
Sha la la la la la la la la la la tee da   just like that
 GCGD7G
Sha la la la la la la la la la la tee da   la tee da

 GCGD7G
So hard to find my way, now that I'm all on my own
 CGD7G
I saw you just the other day,   my how you have grown
 CG
Cast my memory back there, Lord
 D7G
Sometimes I'm overcome thinking 'bout
 CGD7CD7
Making love in the green grass   behind the stadium with you,
 GEmCD7G
my brown eyed girl,        you my brown eyed girl

 D7
Do you remember when we used to sing
 GCGD7
Sha la la la la la la la la la la tee da
 GCGD7G
Sha la la la la la la la la la la tee da   la tee da

yo man....everything is pretty much right exept I think instead of D7 its just D..I played it with both chords and D7 didnt really fit well
dwvallance (report comment to admin):
I play this on the ukelele in F and I do use the C7 chord which coresponds to the D7 shown here in G and I believe it's right. Try this tab for the intro on the uke (With the rest of the song transposed into F i.e. -2 semitones) (Verse F Bb F C7.)

A-----------1-3-5-3-1-------------
E-1-3-5-3-1-----------1-3-5-3-1-0-
C-----------2-3-5-3-2-------------
G-2-3-5-3-2-----------2-3-5-3-2-0-

The D7th is correct ... I edited the placement of the chords though, on my songbook.
