Cry Me A River

Julie London

 A7D9
Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river,
 F7E7AmDm/BE7
 I cried a river over you.
 Am9AmDm7G7CMa7Dm/BE7
 Now you say you're sorry     for being so untrue;
 A7D9
Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river,
 F7E7Am
 I cried a river over you.
Bridge:
 EmAmB7
 You drove me, nearly drove me out of my head;
 EmAm7B7
While you never shed a tear;
 EmAmB7
 Remember? I remember all that you said --
 E7
Told me love was too plebian,
 E7Dm&E7
 Told me you were through with me, and,
 Am9AmDm7G7CMa7Dm/BE7
 Now you say you love me;     well, just to prove it's true,
 A7D9
You can cry me a river, cry me a river,
 F7E7Am
 I cried a river over you.
Coda:
 A7D9
 Cry me a river, cry me a river
 F7E7Am
 I cried a river over you.
| Am G | F Bb9 (hold) | E7 | Am - E7 - Am |

I really don't like that Am7/F# Any ideas?
christopaul (report comment to admin):
This is a nice version of this song. Keep to two strums per chord or sometimes four at the end of a line.

It's a lot less complicated than the record but it's lovely to play with just one guitar and prefferably a frind who can sing like Julie London.
christopaul (report comment to admin):
If you've found this song because you've heared Michael Bouble singing it. Go and listen to Julie London's version.
prydonian460 (report comment to admin):
The first chord should be an Ami9 and the bridge goes to Em Am B7 not Am. Try a D9 instead of the Am/F#
