Guitar Tabs, Chords and Lyrics

Sundown And Sorrow   Hank Williams

This is the work of Tim Ausburn. File with Hank Williams. Hank cut a demo of
this in 1949, never issued. Overdubbed and issued in 1960.
Writer credits, Pee Wee King and J.L. Frank. I believe that Fred Rose wrote
it and gave it to J.L. Frank, (then head of MGM records) for a favor Rose
wanted for someone, possibly Hank Williams.

Key D

(D) Sundown and sorrow have (G) found me,
(D) Memories are makin' me (A7) blue,
(D) Here with these shadows a-(G) round me,
(D) I can't for-(A7) get lovin' (D) you.

Nothin' bur daydreams to haunt me,
Dreams that will never come true,
It's hard to know you don't want me,
I just can't help lovin' you.

Forever so long I've been yearnin',
Wonderin' just what I could do,
Deep in my heart there's a burnin',
I just can't help lovin' you.

Repeat verse one.
