Say Yes  Elliott Smith

This is "Say Yes" by Elliott Smith off of the "Good Will Hunting"
soundtrack. Check out the chords to "Miss Misery" also if you haven't
already. I was planning to tab all of the songs on this album from
Elliott Smith. "Angeles" is going to be pretty tough, so be patient. If
you listen to the CD you can get the strumming pattern. It's pretty
easy. I'll put the basis of it here.

Lyrics
Verse 1
I'm in love with the world
Through the eyes of a girl
Who's still around the morning after
Verse 2
We broke up a month ago
But I grew up, I didn't know
You'd be around the morning after
SOLO
Verse 3
It's always been wait and see
A happy day and then you pay
You feel like sh*t the morning after
Verse 4
But now I feel changed around
And instead of falling down
I'm standing up the morning after
Bridge (strummed)
[C] Situ[D]ations get f**ked [G]up
And turned ar[Em]ound sooner ar l[A7]aaaaaattee[C]eeeeeeer
Verse 5
I could be another fool
Or an exception to the rule
You tell me the morning after
Middle 8 (strummed)
[G(2)] Crickets s[D]pin can't come to r[Em(2)]est
I'm [F7]damaged bad at [Em(2)]best
She'll dec[D]ide what she w[C]ants
[G(2)] I'll probably [D]be the last to k[Em(2)]now
No one s[F7]ays until it s[Em(2)]hows
See h[D]ow is i[Em7]iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssss
They [Em7]want [Dm7]you [Dm7]or th[C]ey d[C]on't
[D(2)] Say Yes
Repeat Verse 1
SOLO:

 |------------7---7-------|------------------|-------------------|
 |------------------------|------------------|-5h7-8-------------|
 |------------------------|------7-7-7-------|-------------------|
 |------5-7-9---9---9-7---|-9-10-------9-7-5-|-------9-7-5h7-5---|
 |----------------------7-|------------------|-----------------7-|
 |-3-3--------------------|------------------|-------------------|

Chords used:
C:335553 G(2):355433
D:557775 Em(2):779987
G:7(10)9787 F7:88(10)8(10)8
Em:XX0453 Dm7:XX7565
A7:575655 D(2):(10)(12)(12)(11)(10)(10)
In that part where it goes "sooner or laaaaaaaterrrrr" there's a
little fill that goes like this.

 |-5--5-----5-----5-----|-3--3-----3------8--7--5--|
 |-5----5-----5-----5---|-5----5-----5-------------| then just go
 |-6------6-----6-----6-|-5------5-----5-----------| back to the
 |-5--------------------|-5------------------------| verse
 |-7--------------------|-3------------------------| pattern
 |-5--------------------|-3------------------------|

the second guitar part in the verse is like this

 --|-7v-7---7v-7-|-7v-7---10v-10-|-8v-8---7v-7-|-5v-5---5v-5-|
 --|-------------|---------------|-------------|-------------|
 --|-------------|---------------|-------------|-------------|
 --|-------------|---------------|-------------|-------------|
 --|-------------|---------------|-------------|-------------|
 --|-------------|---------------|-------------|-------------|

Where it goes "She'll decide what she wants", it goes

 |--3--8-7-5-3-|
 |--5--------3-|
 |--5--------4-|
 |--5--------5-|
 |--3--------5-|
 |--3--------3-|

And where it goes " iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssss" the second
guitar plays this
|-7h8p7h8p7h8p7h8p7h8p7h8p7h8p7h8-|

 |---------------------------------|
 |---------------------------------|
 |---------------------------------|
 |---------------------------------|
 |---------------------------------|

With all these parts it may look complicated, but if you have
two guitarists it is incredibally easy. Stay posted for "Between The
Bars", "No Name #3", and hopefully "Angeles".
