CRAZY GAME -- Emily Saliers
___________________________
This version is compiled from the first OLGA version, by watching Emily's
fingering on videos, and by ear from the Strange Fire cd. Of course,
there are always a few minor variations between various performances of
this song, usually slightly different strumming patterns.
Here are some suggested fingerings for chords. Please note especially the
first three chords of the song as well as the last three chords of the
chorus as fingered here--because the fingerings shown here of these chords
are related, it will make switching between these chords MUCH easier:
T=thumb, 1=index, 2=middle, 3=ring, 4=pinky
(bar [C#7]4th fret) (bar 2[B7]nd fret) (bar [B7]7th fret)[F#7]

| 4 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
AMaj7: Emily plays the Amaj7 at the 0 fret. If it's easier for
you, play this chord at the 5th fret.
If you have trouble using your thumb on the F#7, F#m7, and FMaj7
chords, try using these fingerings:
[F#7] [F#m7] [FMaj7]

Emily plays B7 at the seventh fret during the "...and it's true..." part.

There is a quick open E string right here ^ before the 2slide7.
Repeat (excluding first two chords at the beginning) for the verse,
substituting a B7 for the last measure:
FIRST VERSE
crazy game, i never should have started to play
but now you couldn't tear me away
love is sweet, sweet baby, so good to you, and so bad
and i fear, the situation's clear before my eyes
confusion wants to break me and it tries
i've been a little bit stronger from the start
B7(2nd fret)
listen to my heart
CHORUS:
A(5th fret) am(5th fret)
'cause if you're ever believing I'm thinking of leaving
g#m(4th fret) C#7
look to the moon 'cause it's a fact
f#m g#m A(5th fret)
she may go wandering about, but she always comes shining back
B7(7th fret) Amaj7 g#m F#7 F#m7 Fmaj7
and it's true I'll wait for you
(for these last three chords, be sure to use the fingerings listed at the
start of this document) This then leads into the last four measures of
the verse played as an instrumental break, and the verse then restarts:
SECOND VERSE (play same as 1st verse)
you dry your tears, don't be thinking grey is here to stay
sometimes everything's in the way
you're wanting to look at it turn your view around
dry your eyes eyes like yours should carry a smile
I haven't seen them sparkle in a while
give it one more try, dry your eyes
chorus again
the last two chords of the song are:

 ---8----0-----|
 ---8----7-----|
 ---8----8-----|
 ---7----6-----|
 ---x----7-----|
 ---7----0-----|
