Too Close for Comfort  McFly

This is an amazing song from British band McFly - Too Close for Comfort - an album the
forthcoming album. They performed it live on radio and I've figured out the chords from
it. It's the first time I've done this so fingers crossed but I think it sounds pretty
good!
There's some more complicated stuff going on, this is just a simple version that sounds
fine. I THINK there are three guitars (Dougie may be playing one too) - There is one
playing the simple chords, one playing higher chords and then the soloish bits. My bro
seems to think Danny's playing the high chords on a 12 string because it sounds fuller.
(If thats all wrong don't blame me he just said thats what he rekons.) But yeah this is
just a a first so you can have a go at playing it - it's a simple version.
Great tune, can't wait for the album.

Intro
G D Em7 C Cm x2
[Em]
[Em]Never meant the things i said to make you cry
Can I say I'm so[C]rry?
It's hard to for[D]get
Yes I re[C]gret
All these m[G]istakes
[Em]I don't know why you're leaving me
But I know you must have your r[C]easons
There's tears in your e[D]yes
I watch as you c[C]ry
But it's getting l[G]ate
Was I i[C]nvading i[D]n on your [Em]secrets?
Was I too close for c[C]omfort?
You're pushing me [D]out when i wanted i[G]n
What was I j[C]ust ab[D]out to dis[Em]cover?
When I got too close for c[C]omfort in driving you h[G]ome [D]
Guess ill never [Em]know
[Em]The way we scratched our names into the sand
And told me you loved [C]me
And now that I f[D]ind
That you've changed your m[C]ind
I'm lost for wor[G]ds
[Em]And everything I feel for you
I wrote down on one piece of p[C]aper
The one in your h[D]and
You won't underst[C]and
How much it h[G]urts to let you go
Was I in[C]vading i[D]n on your [Em]secrets?
Was I too close for [C]comfort?
Your pushing me out when i wanted [G]in
What was i [C]just a[D]bout to dis[Em]cover
When I got too close for com[C]fort in driving you [G]home [D]
Cos I'll never [Em]know
[Em]All this time you've been telling me l[C]ies
Hidden in bags that are under your [D]eyes
And when I asked you I knew I was [Em]right
but if you turn your back on me [C]now
When I need you most
But you just let me do[D]wn, d[C]own, [Cm]down.
Won't you think [Em]about what your about to do to [C]me
And back [Cm]down [G]
(played softly)
Was I in[C]vading i[D]n on your se[Em]crets?
Was I too close for c[C]omfort?
D G(builds back up)
Your pushing me out when i wanted in
C D Em (C and D = single strum)
What was I just about to discover?
I got too close for [C]comfort
Pushing me [D]out when I wanted [G]in
[G]Yeah, yeah, yeah
What was I j[C]ust a[D]bout to dis[Em]cover?
When I got too close for [C]comfort
Driving you [D]home
Guess I'll never [G]know
