Shoot the Moon  Norah Jones

Norah Jones - Shoot the Moon
(chords/lyrics provided by katesmeow)
NOTE: I don't think this is 100% accurate but nothing I could find online sounded
right, so I listened
to it and picked out what did. It sounds great played alone. Try playing it with
the track and you'll
probably hear the places where it doesn't quite mesh - maybe someone else can improve upon it. :)
I've included how to play the chords - it's mostly a lot of basic chords and
stepping down the base
note. For the F a barred chord sounds best here, imho.

C Cmaj9/B Am, Am/G
The summer days are gone too soon
[F] You shoot the [C/E]moon and [F]miss comp[G]letely
C Cmaj9/B Am, Am/G
And now you're left to face the gloom
[F] The empty r[C/E]oom that [F]once smelled [G]sweetly

[Am7] Why you [Em7]had to [Am/F#]each be l[Fm]onely
[C] Was it ju[G]st the s[C]eas[G]on
Second verse (same as the first):
And now the fall is here again
You can't begin to give in, it's all over
When the snows come rolling through
You roll in too, with some new lover
Will you think of times you've told me
That you knew the reason
Why we had to each be lonely
It was just the season
(Chord progression like intro)
(Repeat last four lines of second verse)
(Ohhs and chord progression like intro until end)
