Farther Along Misc. Gospel
Te[C]mpted and tried[C7] were [F]oft made to[C] wonder
Why it should be th[D7]us all the day [G]long;
While there are [C]othe[C7]rs l[F]iving a[C]bout us,
Never molested, [G]though in the [C]wrong.
F[C]arther along we[C7]ll [F]know all [C]about it.
Farther along well[D7] understand[G] why.
Cheer up my [C]brothe[C7]rs, [F]live in th[C]e sunshine;
Well understand it[G] all by and[C] by.
Faithful to death is our loving saviour,
A few more days labour and wait.
Toils of the road will then be as nothing,
As we walk through that beautiful gate.
When we see Jesus coming in glory;
When He comes from His home in the sky.
Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion;
Well understand it all by and by.
Often I wonder why I must journey
Over a road so rugged and steep;
While there are others living in comfort;
While with the lost I labour and weep.
