Let The Children Come Misc. Gospel
[G]Jesus looked so weary
From the [C]worries of the [G]day.
But the l[D]ook on His face [C]lighted,
As the ch[G]ildren came His [D]way.
But b[C]efore He could reach[G] out to them,
And [C]join them in their [G]play,
[C]His grown-up band of[G] followers
Told the[C] kids to go [D]away.
[G]Let the children come.
Don't [C]dare drive them [D]away.
[G]In them the Kingdom comes,
Hear the[C] Holy, foolish [G]things they say.
The spr[C]ingtime of their [G]life decides
The a[C]dults they'll be[G]come.
[C]So let the child[G]ren come,
[C]Please let the ch[G]ildren come.
[G]The golden gift of childhood
Lasts a [C]lifetime if you[D] try.
[G]The simple trusting faith they own
Keeps sc[C]holars mysti[D]fied.
[C]And so the Lord ado[G]pts us,
[C]For His daughters and [G]His sons.
[C]For the Kingdom is for[G] children,
So please[C] let the children[G] come.
This is another great example of God's love for us! This is pretty close
to the original song, you could try adding a capo, but I think it sounds
okay this way. Tell me what you think.
