Rough Side of the Mountain Misc. Gospel
[A]Oh Lord, you know I'm strivin',
tryin' to [D]make it through this barren [A]land,
[A]but as I go from day to [D]day,
I can [A]hear my Savior [D]say,
"trust me [A]child, come [E]on and hold my [A]hand."
[A]I'm comin' up on the rough side of the mountain,
[A]I must hold to God, His powerful hand.
[A]I'm comin' up on the rough side of the [D]mountain,
I'm [A]doin' my [E]best to make it [A]in.
[A]I'm comin' up Lord, Yes I’m coming up Lord
although my [D]burdens sometimeS they press me [A]down,
[A]but if I can only keep this [D]faith
I'll have [A]strength just to run this [D]race;
I'm [A]lookin', yes I[E]217;m lookin’ for [A]my robe and crown.
[A]This old race will be soon be over,
there'll [D]be no more race for me to [A]run.
[A]And I will stand before God's [D]throne,
all my [A]heartaches will be [D]gone,
I'll [A]hear my Savior [E]say, child "welcome [A]home".
