All of these lines across my face
 D
Tell you the story of who I am
 Em
So many stories of where I've been
 Cadd9
And how I got to where I am
 GD/F#
But these stories don't mean anything
 EmCG
When you've got no one to tell them to, it's true
 DG
I was made for you

 G
I climbed across the mountain top
 D
Swam all across the ocean blue
 Em
I crossed all the lines and I broke all the rules
 Cadd9
An' baby I broke them all for you
 GD/F#
Oh, because even when I was flat broke
 EmCG
You made me feel like a million bucks, you do
 DG
I was made for you

Instrumental - eight beats for each chord

 G
You see the smile that's on my mouth
 D
It's hiding the words that don't come out
 Em
All of our friends who think that i'm blessed
 Cadd9
They don't know my head is a mess
 GD/F#
No, they don't know who I really am
 EmCG
And they don't know what I've been through, like you do
 DG
And I was made for you

 G
All of these lines across my face
 D
Tell you the story of who I am
 Em
So many stories of where I've been
 Cadd9
And how I got to where I am
 GD/F#
Oh, but these stories don't mean anything
 EmCG
When you've got no one to tell them to, it's true
 DG
I was made for you

 G
Oh, yeah, well it's true
 DG
That I was made for you

whats the strum pattern?
scosio (report comment to admin):
I sincerely believe the studio recording of this song is being played in A with a capo on the second fret (not G, capo 4). Transpose the song up two semi-tones and lower your capo and you'll be right on.
