The Hartwell's radio beacon

Chorus

After nineteen days the aerial search
 G7C
Was said to be completed
Until someone cried, "They're still alive
 G7C
And the search must be repeated."
 FC
And the day the beep was finally heard
 G7C
Was the day we'll all remember
 FC
man was found safe and sound
 G7C
On the 9th day of December.

Hartwell said he should have died
 G7C
At 35 below zero
And the reason Hartwell did survive
 G7C
The boy had died a hero,
 FC
"He brought me food when I couldn't move
 G7C
While he himself grew feeble
 FC
Yes, Davy Koutouk died a saint
 G7C
And a credit to his people
 FC
 Davy Koutouk died a saint
 G7C
And a credit to his people."
