Blowin In The Wind  Bob Dylan

[G]How many [C]roads must a [G]man walk down
Be[G]fore you [C]call him a [D]man
[G]How many [C]seas must the [G]white dove sail
Be[G]fore she [C]sleeps in the [D]sand
And [G]how many [C]times must the [G]cannonballs fly
Be[G]fore they're [C]forever [D]banned

Chorus:
The [C]answer my [D]friend is [G]blowin' [G/F#]in the [Em]wind
The [C]answer is [D]blowin' in the [G]wind

[G]How many [C]years can a [G]mountain exist
Be[G]fore it is [C]washed to the [D]sea
[G]How many [C]years can some [G]people exist
Be[G]fore they're al[C]lowed to be [D]free
Yes and [G]How many [C]times can a [G]man turn his head
And pre[G]tend that he [C]just doesn't [D]see

Chorus

[G]How many [C]times must a [G]man look up
Be[G]fore he can [C]see the [D]sky
[G]How many [C]ears must [G]one man have
Be[G]fore he can [C]hear people [D]cry
[G]How many [C]deaths will it [G]take till he knows
That [G]too many [C]people have [D]died

Chorus
The [C]answer is [D]blowin' in the [G]wind

The first verse should be

G, C, G, C;
G, C, D.

Then repeat for all versus.

Chorus is, (beginning with "The answer my friend is . . . ");

C, D, G, Em;
C, D, G.

Very, very simple as folk is intened to be and Dylan followed.

This is pretty good but sounds even better with capo on 7th fret

Try C F C AM... C F G7 Chorus F G7 C E7 AM ... F G7 C Right Bob?

Great song for bar chord and key change practice. Bar position for chords shown above...

G: 3 5 5 4 3 3
C: 3 3 5 5 5 3
D: 5 5 7 7 7 5

Now you can easily change keys by sliding it up and down the neck.

Tip: Play C and D with two fingers; index @ bar position & ring finger! It may sound funny at first but keep at it and you'll find the 'sweet spot'. My hands and fingers are 'average', you don't need Hendrix claws to do it!

Buzzwagon (report)

The chords at the end of the first verse should go "Is Blowin' in the wind" G, F#/G, Em

this song seems to be played here in the wrong key as I have played it starting with C then to F back to C and ending on G, I am not a music teacher I just have a good ear.
