Just Remember I Love You  Firefall

Words and music by Rick Roberts
(from the album "Luna Sea")

Note: (from Firefall's website http://www.firefall.com/charts/remember.htm)
During the song intro and the verses, the Fmaj7 and G6 chords are the same form; that is to say, the G6 is played like the Fmaj7, only two frets higher, on the third fret. The high E string is allowed to ring open, hence the 6th of the G chord is the open E. Additionally, on the first strum of each chord the first finger and middle finger of the left hand is lifted, the strings (E, B and G) are allowed to ring open, then on the second strum the first and middle fingers are again placed down to form the full chord.

when it [Fmaj7]all goes crazy and the thrill is gone
the [G6]days get rainy and the nights get long
when you [Fmaj7]get that feeling you were born to lose
[Em]staring at your ceiling [Fmaj7]thinking of your blues [G6]

when there's [Fmaj7]so much trouble that you want to cry
the [G6]world has crumbled and you don't know why
when your [Fmaj7]hopes are fading and they can't be found
[Em]dreams have left you waiting [Fmaj7]friends have let you down [G]

Chorus:
[C]just [G]remember I [Fmaj7]love you and it'll [C]be [G]all right [Fmaj7]
[C]just [G]remember I [Fmaj7]love you more than I can [C]say[G] [Fmaj7]
[Am]maybe then your [G]blues will fade [Fmaj7]away [G6]

when you [Fmaj7]need a lover and you're down so low
[G6]you start to wonder but you never know
when it [Fmaj7]feels like sorrow is your only friend
[Em]knowing that tomorrow you'll [Fmaj7]feel this way again [G6]

Bridge: (pedal steel guitar/saxophone instrumental) finish with G6 to (bar chord)G

when the [Fmaj7]blues come calling at the break of dawn
[G6]rain keeps falling but the rainbow's gone
when you [Fmaj7]feel like crying but the tears won't come
[Em]when your dreams are dying [Fmaj7]when you're on the run [G]

[C]just [G]remember I [Fmaj7]love you and it'll [C]be [G]all right [Fmaj7]
[C]just [G]remember I [Fmaj7]love you more than I can [C]say[G] [Fmaj7]
[C]Just [G]remember I [Fmaj7]love you, and it'll [Am]be [G]alright[Fmaj7]
it'll [Am]be alright [G] [Fmaj7]
it'll [Am]be alright [G] [Fmaj7]
it'll [Am]be alright [G] [Fmaj7]

[Cmaj7]END

Additional note: Consider, as an alternative, playing the G chord in the chorus the following way; third finger on the A string, fret 2, ring finger on the low E string, fret 3, little finger on the D string, fret 3 (like a C chord without the index finger on). This makes for an easier transition between the three chords and lets the high E string ring open all the way through - which keeps with the character of the song.
