We Rode in Trucks  Luke Bryan

This is a great song and I couldn't find a good tab for it so I decided to make one.
is my first tab so be gentle.
This strum pattern isn't exactly right but it sounds pretty close.
D*DUD*DU*UD*D
On the LAST UP STROKE I like to play the A string open when playing the E chord and when
the A chord play the B string open. Sounds a lot more like the song. I only do this
the beginning of each verse.
Intro: E A E A
Verse 1
Down where [E]I born it was heaven on earth.
The [A]Flint River washes that red Georgia dirt.
[E]The sun sets slow and the stars shine [B]bright.
We raised [E]cotton, corn, a little cane, and kids.
You either [A]lived on a farm or wish you did.
[E]Jesus always walked close by our[B] side.
[F#m] [B] [E] [A]
Wher[A]e I grew up, we rode in trucks.
Verse 2
There's [E]a lot about life you can learn on a bus,
How to [A]lie, how to fight, how to kiss, how to cuss.
The [E]closer we sat to the back, the smarter we [B]got.
We were [E]poor, we were ugly, we were all best friends.
[A]White-eyed, baptized, and still wantin' to sin.
[E]Thank God we get more than just one [B]shot.
Where I grew[F#m] up, [B]we rode in t[E]rucks.
Chorus
That's [B]us, haulin'[A] hay in the field with the radio[E] on.
That's [B]us, headin' [A]straight into town when the[F#m] work is done.
[B] [A] [E] [E/G#]
In my min[A]d, I can still see us now, ridin' down Buck Island Road.
[A]It wasn't that long [F#m]ago.[B]
Verse 3
[E]We thought tobacco and beer in a can
[A]Was all it would take to be like our old man.
But [E]I saw how it made my momma[B] cry.
It was [E]huntin' and fishin' and football games.
[A]Then it was girls, and everything[F#m] changed,
In our l[B]ives.
Fallin' in and out of [F#m]love, [B]we rode in t[E]rucks.
Chorus 2
That's [B]us with our [A]tailgates down in the p[E]arking lot.
That's [B]us with [A]mud on our tires when[F#m] it rained a lot.
[B] [A] [E] [E/G#]
In my min[A]d, I can still see us now, ridin' down Buck Island Road.
[F#m] [B] [A]
I[B]t wasn't that long ago, it's apart of my soul. Yeah.
Outro
Down where [E]I was born, it was heaven on earth.
The [A]Flint River washes that red Georgia dirt.
[E]The sun sets slow and the stars shine [B]bright.
Where I grew[F#m] up, [B]we rode in truck[E]s.
