Word of God Speak MercyMe
I've seen a lot of different versions which are good, but not entirely correct.
Here is my take on the iTunes Originals version.
I think it's pretty accurate.
Just listen to the song, to get the rhythm and chord placements.
There is a transition between the G and the Bb2 in the chorus.
If you want to play it, it would be something like a G/A chord.
However the song is great without it.
Please rate!
Intro/Verses: C Csus C G/C FMaj7/C F/C FMaj7/C
Verse 1
I'm finding myself at a loss for words,
And the funny thing is, it's okay.
The last thing I need, is to be heard,
But to hear, what you would say
Chorus:
Word of God spea[C]k,
Would you pour down like ra[G]in
Washing my [Bb2]eyes to see
Your [F]majesty
To be still and [C]know
That You're in this [G]place
Please let me [Bb2]stay and rest
In Your h[F]oliness
Word of God [C]speak
(Repeat Intro)
Verse 2
I'm finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice
(REPEAT CHORUS 2x)
I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
