Your Bulldog Drinks Champagne Misc. Unsigned Bands
There was a [G]lady in a window,
In the [D]room across the way.
From the hotel I was staying in,
While [C]on my holi..[G]day.
I [G]couldn't help but see everything,
Cause I was [D]peeping, I confess.
Still, after dinner every night,
She [C]had the strangest [G]guest.
She'd [G]retire to her favorite chair,
And [D]sit there with a dog.
Fill the crystal glasses,
While the [C]fire danced on the [G]log.
Well, I [G]watched them drink their bubbly brew,
[D]til that fire grew dim.
Then I stuck my head out the window,
And said, 'WHY NOT [C]ME INSTEAD OF [G]HIM'!!??
Oh, your [C]bulldog drinks [D]champagne,
And [G]I ain't one to com[C]plain.
But, what a [G]perfect waste of [C]wine it seems to [D]me.
So, [G]honey, tell ol' [C]rover that the [G]big dog's coming [C]over...
Cause any [G]woman that'd get a [Em]bulldog drunk,
Would [C]have to be [D]good to [G]me.
Fourteen days and fourteen nights,
Not one word did I hear.
Her with her silk and champagne,
And me in my shorts with a beer.
She just left the curtains wide,
And I knew she knew I could see.
Her and the pug-nosed mutt,
Guzzling wine and teasing me.
So I made a bolder move,
I went over and rang her bell.
I heard growling from inside,
And I got scared as hell.
Then the bulldog staggered out the door,
And he said, 'How do you do?'
But the lady bit me on the leg,
And I said rrrr..woof, I love you too!
A seventies hit from Kraziekhat.
