You make me sing like a guitar hummin'
So hang on to me, girl
Our song keeps runnin' [G]on

The original record is played in C# and has a key change to D approximately two thirds of the way through.
The best thing to do is play it in C with a capo at the first fret. Conveniently, the music stops just before the key change, thereby allowing you to move your capo to the second fret (and still playing in C).
