Johnny And Mary  Robert Palmer

Johnnys always run[C]ning around
Trying to find certainty  [Am]
He needs all the w[D]orld to confirm
That he aint lonely     [Em]
Mary counts the wa[F]lls
Knows he tires eas[G]ily
Johnny thinks the w[C]orld would be right
If it could buy truth from [Am]him
Mary says he cha[C]nges his mind more than a wo[Em]man
But she made her b[F]ed
Even when the ch[G]ance was slim
Johnny says hes wil[C]ling to learn
When he decides [Am]hes a fool
Johnny says he'll [C]live anywhere
When he earns to time to[Em] move
Mary combs her h[F]air
Says she should be u[G]sed to it
Mary always hed[C]ges her bets
She never knows [Am]what to think
She says that he st[C]ill acts
Like he is being di[Em]scovered
Scared that hell be c[F]aught
Without a sec[F]ond thought
Running around

Bridge Chords - [C][Am][C][Em][F] - [G]

Johnny feels hes wasting his breath
Trying to talk sense to her
Mary says hes lacking a real
Sense of proportion
So she combs her hair
Knows he tires easily

Johnnys always running around
Trying to find certainty
He needs all the world to confirm
That he aint lonely
Mary counts the walls
Says she should be used to it

Johnnys always running around
Running around.... (fade out)

Notes: these are basic chords that sound pretty right, however they sound much nicer as
chords. Play G as a Bar on 3rd Fret E7 shape. And the A as a bar on the 5th fret E7 shape.

Bb should be a Bm.
I think it sounds better if played 2 half-notes down (ie: C - Am - C - Em - F - G etc).
