Any Other Way  Tenth Avenue North

WHAT'S UP?!?!
This thing took me a few hours of serious concentration, ear-straining, and
finger-pounding, so I really hope you enjoy it! If it isn't accurate, well, then my face
is purple.
:D This is a really cool song with amazing lyrics, and I hope this song means as much
to you as it did to me. Have fun!!

INTRO: C C7 Am F
[C]Don't say goodbye,[C7] don't say hello.[Am]
We're just st[F]anding on the surface.
[C]Don't say alright,[C7] Don't say I know[Am].
I pr[F]omise it's not worth it.
[Am]I want to kn[G]ow who you are
[C]Even if you're f[F]allin' apart
[Am]Reach in and t[G]ouch your scars
[C]All the shame you've kep[F]t in your heart
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F]It's not eno[C]ugh, it'[G]s not enough, just to say that we're okay.
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F]I need yo[G]ur hurt, [C]I need your pain. It's not love any other way.
[C]Let's not pretend,[C7] stop your par[Am]ade
[F]Trying to convince me
[C]That you're alri[C7]ght and everything's ok[Am]ay
[F]Do you even know me?
[Am]I already kn[G]ow who you are
[C]And all the things that k[F]ept us apart
[Am]Reach in and t[G]ouch my scars
[C]Know the price I p[F]aid for your heart
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F]It's not eno[C]ugh, it'[G]s not enough, just to say that you're okay.
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F]I need your [G]hurt, I [C]need your pain. It's not love any other way.
A b[F]roken, contrite he[G]art,
I will not desp[Am]ise.
Come as you are[G].
I won't close my eye[F]s!
I won't close my eye[G]s!
I won't close my eye[Am]s!
I won't close my eye[G]s!
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F]It's not eno[C]ugh, it'[G]s not enough, just to say that you're okay.
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F]I need your [G]hurt, I [C]need your pain. It's not love any other way.
[F] [C] [G] [Am]
[F]It's not eno[C]ugh, it'[G]s not enough, just to say that you're okay.
You n[F]eed my [C]hurt, you n[G]eeded my p[Am]ain.
It's not lo[F]ve any [G]other w[C]ay.
It's not lo[F]ve any [G]other w[Am]ay.
It's not lo[F]ve any [G]other w[C]ay.

Just in case you're not certain what a "C7" is, it is a C chord with a B note (the
seventh note above C)thrown in. Here's one simple way to play it on piano and guitar:
GUITAR: If you play a regular C chord and just take your finger off the B string, then
you have a C7 chord:
normal C chord:
e- 0 (play open)
[B-]G- [1]0
[D-] [2]
[A-]E- [3]x (mute)
C7 chord:
e- 0
B- 0 C-E-G-B for C7)
Yes, this means FOUR fingers playing one chord :O
Now, when I play this song on piano, I start off the verse with a 2nd inversion C chord,
and from there the C7 is super easy. All you gotta do is play what looks like an
inversion of an Em chord but still play a C in the bass; so basically, you just switch
out the C in your 2nd inv. C major chord with the B right next to it. It's a one finger movement,
not so difficult. :)
Well guys, that's all I got for ya! I hope it all makes sense and you enjoy playing this
great song... Keep on jamming and look for more of my tabs!
