Drops Of Jupiter

Train

 D
Now that she s back in the atmosphere
 AEmG
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
 D
She acts like summer and walks like rain
 AEmG
Reminds me that there s time to change, hey, hey
 D
Since the return from her stay on the moon
 AEmG
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey

CHORUS
 AEm
Tell me did you sail across the sun
 G
Did you make it to the milky way to see the lights all faded
 D
 And that heaven is overrated

 AEm
Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
 G
One without a permanent scar

And did you miss me while you were looking at yourself out there

Play like other verse:
Now that shes back from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, hey
She checks out Mozart while she does tae-bo
Reminds me that theres time to grow, hey, hey
 D
Now that shes back in the atmosphere
 AG
Im afraid that she might think of me as plain 'ole Jane
Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land

Play like chorus
Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day?
And head back to the Milky Way
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find?
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

 DAEmG
Instrumental Rest- Play

BRIDGE
 D
Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken?
 AEmG
Your best friend always sticking up for you even when I know youre wrong
 DA
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance? Five-hour phone conversation?
 EG
The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me

Play like the rest:
Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day?
And head back toward the Milky Way

Repeat 1st chorus

Sing Na Nas to the 1st 2 lines of Bridge chords.

lyonhart (report comment to admin):
good except for a few things

1. have to transpose down 2 semitones to be exact with actual song

2. afterward the transposing, all Dm become regular D

3. no need for the D in the "hey, hey" part. just F

Astronomikal (report comment to admin):
lyonhart is correct except for comment 2. After transposing, there are still some Dm's. (permanent) "scar", "best" (soy latte) and (hoping to) "find".
LittleEarthquakes (report comment to admin):
Hey Thanks so much for putting this song on Cordie. It reminds me of my Nana that passed away and you have given me a lot of comfort making this song easy to play.

Thanks Spread the Love.
doylemang (report comment to admin):
The lyrics shoule be changed from "time to grow" to "room to grow"

Also add a D chord at the end of chorus.
derek mcmahon (report comment to admin):
very good comments above, but also change the F at the end of chorus to DM, where it says permanent scar...
