Most Precarious  Blues Traveler

I used to play this song with the GAD progression, but from the first time I played along
with the song, I knew it wasn't correct. This song is played with power chords. I have
used the other version of this song's tab as a template to create this one, so thank you,
RHODG8888@aol.com. Aside from a couple of possible typos, this should be 100% correct.
Chords:
E [A5]X [B5]X [E5]X [Em]0 [G#5]X [C#5]X
B X X X 0 X X
G X X X 0 X X
[D] [7] [9] [14] [2] [6] [11]
[A]E [7]5 [9]7 [14]12 [2]0 [6]4 [11]9
Of course, you can always play E5 as (X 7 9 9 X X), but it sounds as if Chan slides
from A5 to B5 to E5 rather than skip to the A string to play the E5.
Intro: A5 B5 E5 (3 times) then A5 B5 Em (once)
Verse 1:
Don't you give up. [A5]Don't al[B5]low dis[E5]aster.[A5] [B5] [E5]
Don't you give up. [A5]Don't you [B5]let her [E5]win.[A5] [B5] [E5]
We're talking ab[A5]out a fo[B5]rever af[E5]ter.[A5] [B5] [E5]
Don't you give up. [A5]Don't you[B5] dare give in[Em].
Don't you give up. [A5]Don't you[B5] dare give in[E5].
Chorus 1:
Doesn't it [A5]seem [B5]most pre[E5]carious?
Doesn't it [A5]seem such [B5]a chance to [E5]take?
Doesn't it [A5]seem [B5]most pre[E5]carious?
Why does it [A5]feel like [B5]a big mis[Em]take?
Second Verse:
Please under[A5]stand and [B5]hear what I'm [E5]saying.[A5] [B5] [E5]
The time is [A5]now and we [B5]don't have [E5]long.[A5] [B5] [E5]
She could be [A5]oceans aw[B5]ay tom[E5]orrow.[A5] [B5] [E5]
So soon your [A5]chance will have [B5]come and [Em]gone.
So soon your [A5]chance will have [B5]come and [E5]gone.
Chorus 1
Verse 3:
The tight-wires [A5]strung and you're o[B5]ut in the mi[E5]ddle.[A5] [B5] [E5]
All eyes up[A5]on you no n[B5]et below[E5].[A5] [B5] [E5]
Inches to [A5]go and you're [B5]almost home [E5]free.[A5] [B5] [E5]
Feel the wires [A5]swaying [B5]to and [Em]fro.
Feel the wires [A5]swaying [B5]to and [E5]fro.
Chorus 2 (First 3 lines same as Chorus 1):
Doesn't it seem most precarious?
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take?
Doesn't it seem most precarious?
Why does it [A5]feel like it [B5]would be a [C#5]damn [B5]shame?
Would be for[G#5]ever if it meant a [E5]day.
How stoically [A5]I exc[B5]laim
As she [A5]turns from me and walks [G#5]away.
Here is where the harmonica solo starts. The intro pattern is repeated 3 times during
this solo (A5 B5 E5 3 times, then A5 B5 Em once). There is one part near the end of the
solo where the pattern is A5 B5 E5 E5--where the E5 chord is repeted for emphasis. This
occurs on the third A5 B5 E5 just before doing the A5 B5 Em.
Verse 4:
The light in her [A5]eyes explan[B5]ation esca[E5]pes you.[A5] [B5] [E5]
Longing to [A5]please and n[B5]ot feel alon[E5]e.[A5] [B5] [E5]
And she doesn't [A5]know it but reall[B5]y she loves yo[E5]u.[A5] [B5] [E5]
Some day so [A5]soon you're gonna m[B5]ake it ho[Em]me.
Some day so [A5]soon you're gonna m[B5]ake it ho[E5]me.
Chorus 1 (Repeat once)
