Hi folks

I tried to post this through the rmmga<->Usenet gateway yesterday and I don't
think it made it through. So I have posted this copy to Usenet
rec.music...acoustic through the utexas.edu mail->news gateway. My apologies if
you get this twice.

Here's another nice flatpicked fiddle tune, Stoney Point. It's in three parts,
which are in G, Em, and G. Parts A and B are 16 measures each, and Part C is
eight measures. This should be played at about quarter note = 200-220
beats/minute.

Measures 7-8, 15-16, 23-24, 31-32 are good "generic" runs that can be used in
several different contexts.

TAB: Stoney Point (traditional, arrangement and TAB by Bo Parker,

[ed note: tab removed since it is superceded by a later message -dgaudet]

As always, if there are any mistakes, questions, comments, etc., please email
me at bo_parker@fbpmac.msfc.nasa.gov

Enjoy

Hi

(This is a repost of "Stoney Point" with the fourth part added.)

Here's another nice flatpicked fiddle tune, "Stoney Point," also known as "Wild
Horses" "Wild Horses at Stoney Point," or even "Pig Town Fling." It's in four
parts, which are in G, Em, G, and G. Parts A, B, and D are 16 measures each,
and Part C is eight measures. This should be played at about quarter note =
200-240 beats/minute.

Measures 7-8, 15-16, 23-24, 31-32 are good "generic" runs that can be used in
several different contexts.

TAB: Stoney Point (traditional, arrangement and TAB by Bo Parker,
bo_parker@fbpmac.msfc.nasa.gov. Part D arrangement based on a Steve Kaufman
arrangement.)
