Bright Blue Rose  Mary Black (written by Jimmy McCarthy)

----------------

[C]I skimmed across black water, wi[F]thout once submerging
[C]Onto the banks of an urban mor[G]ning
[C]That hungers the first light, [F]much much more than the
[C]mountains [G]ever d[C]o.
[C]And she like a ghost beside me, [F]goes down with the ease
of a dolphin
[C]And awakens u[G]nlearned, unshamed, unharmed
[C]For she is perfect creature, [F]natural in every feature
And [C]I am the g[Am]eek with the a[G]lchemists' sto[C]ne.

[F]For all of y[G]ou who must dis[C]cover,
[F]For all who se[G]ek to under[C]stand,
[F]For having left[G] the path of ot[C]hers
[Bb]You'll find a v[F]ery special h[G]and.
[C]And it is a holy thing, and [F]it is a precious time
[C]And it is the only w[G]ay
[C]Forget-me-nots among the snow, it's al[F]ways been and so
it goes
[C]To ponder his d[Am]eath and his li[G]fe etern[C]ally

[C]And it is a holy thing, and i[F]t is a precious time
[C]And it is the only w[G]ay
[C]Forget-me-nots among the snow, it's a[F]lways been and so
it goes
[C]To ponder his d[Am]eath and his l[G]ife etern[C]ally

[C]One bright blue rose outlives all those
[F]Two thousand years and still it goes
To p[C]onder his de[Am]ath and his l[G]ife etern[C]ally

I love this song.....timing is difficult.
Capo 1 to tune to CD version of Mary Black.
I made up these chords cos there weren't any to be found
anywhere....only words! Sounds pretty close to my untrained ear.
So I thought I would share them and give back in thanks for all the
wonderful music that has so generously been shared with me.
