Brown Eyed Girl

Van Morrison

Main: (You can play a mix of D and D7 to get sort of a fill at the end
of each verse)
 GCGD
Hey, where did we  go          days when the rain came
 GCGD
Down in  the hollow        playing a new game
 GC
Laughing, and a running,     hey, hey
 GDGC
Skipping and a jumping         in the misty morning fog,

 GDCDGEm
with our hearts a thumpin' and you,     my brown eyed girl
 CDGD7
        You, my   brown eyed girl
Whatever happened to Tuesday and so slow
Going down to the old mine
With a transistor radio
Standing in the sunlight laughing
Hiding behind a rainbow's wall
Slipping and a sliding
All aling the waterfall
With you, my brown eyed girl
You, my brown eyed girl
bridge:
 D7G
Do you remember when we used to sing

 CGD7G
Sha la la la la la la la te da   Just like that
 CGD7
Sha la la la la la la la te da
Now that I'm all on my own
I saw you just the other day
My, how you have grown
Cast my memory back there Lord
Sometimes I'm overcome thinkin' 'bout it
Laughing and a running hey, hey
Behind the stadium
With you, my brown eyed girl
You, my brown eyed girl
Play bridge again

GYM (report comment to admin):
I think the original version sounds better with the Bm instead of the Bbm
stevenpierce5 (report comment to admin):
It's F#m... not Fm
Namu (report comment to admin):
The original recording is in the key of G. In this key, Eb minor is displayed instead of the correct E minor chord.
larrymcmlv (report comment to admin):
I have been playing this song for years, the original is in G, the original version you have here is more correct, just different key.
Woodsmistress (report comment to admin):
If you're playing on the uke, play in F or G, much easier. G is slightly easier to play than F.
