One of us

Joan Osborne

one of us by joan osborne off of the album relish
transcribed by evan c. parker ecpark@mail.wm.edu
tab for intro and verses and chorus:
f#m d a em e+-------------------------------------------------------------+ a+------------------------------------0------------------------+ d+--------------------------------------2----------------------+ g+----------------------------------------2----------0/2-------+ b+-------------2------2--3------------------2--------0/2-------+ e+---2--4--5----------------5-----------------0------0/2-------+
this is *very* rough... she uses lots of distortion so the notes are difficult to tab... plus she varies it a lot throughout the song. most of the verses and chorus, though i say are chorded, simply use the chorded fingering, but pick them apart.

(picked or chorded chorus) what if God was one of us? just a slob like one of us? just a stranger on the bus trying to make his way home
(chorded verse) if God had a face, what would it look like and would you want to see... if seeing meant that you would have to believe, in things like heaven and in jesus and the saints and all the prophets
(repeat bridge)
