-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuning: Capo 3
Verse 1
[G]Drew lo[Em7]oks at [C]me, I [D]fake a smile so he won't [G]see
That I [Em7]want and I'm [C]needing, [D]everything that we should [G]be
I bet she's beautiful,[Em] that girl he talks about
[C]And she's got everything that [D]I have to live without

[G]Drew ta[Em7]lks to [C]me, I [D]laugh cause it's just so fun[G]ny
That I ca[Em7]n't even [C]see, [D]anyone when he's with [G]me
He says he's so in love, [Em7]he's finally got it right
[C]I wonder if he knows he's [D]all I think about at night
Chorus
[G]He's the reason for the [D]teardrops on my guitar
[Em7]The only thing that keeps me [C]wishing on a wishing [G]star
He's the song in the [D]car I keep singing, don't know [Em7]why I do [C]

Verse 2
[G]Drew [Em7]walks by [C]me, [D]can he tell that I can't [G]breathe?
And there he [Em7]goes so perfect[C]ly
The kind of [D]flawless I wish I could [G]be
She'd better hold him tight, [Em7]give him all her love
[C]Look in those beautiful eyes [D]and know she's lucky cause

Chorus
[G]He's the reason for the [D]teardrops on my guitar
[Em7]The only thing that keeps me [C]wishing on a wishing star
[G]He's the song in the [D]car I keep singing, don't know [Em7]why I do [C]

Bridge
[Em7]So I drive home alone, [C]as I turn out the light
[G]I put his picture down, and [D]maybe get some sleep tonight

Chorus
[G]Cause he's the reason for the [D]teardrops on my guitar
[Em7]The only one who's got e[C]nough of me to break my heart
[G]He's the song in the [D]car I keep singing, don't know [Em7]why I do [C]
He's the t[G]ime, taken up, but there's nev[D]er enough
And he's [Em7]all that I need to fall [C]into

Most of the time the D is played with the F# in the bass and the suspended 2nd on the top. Like this: 200230
