Cmon, if you don't like his video put your own up. Remember without chordie and other sites like this we would still be learning the old way. I like this just fine.

Also, in reference to the D13 part. If you want to play it the same way Dave does you play a G note when playing the Am in a similar patern to the D13 note

before there was a internet w/ tabs and chord charts, this is how you figured out songs. You listened to the song or watched it performed...good stuff

Very cool, thanks.I can use the tab to figure it out, It's nice to hear it being played acoustically. I don't have that version at home.

What are you complaining about!!!!?
I haven`t heard all the two million songs in here before, and even the ones I like, and know, I miss out on, because I dont recognice them in text, just listening to the video once, without even seeing it, made me play it, my way, to my satisfaction.
I`ll continue my search for songs I know, now.
Keep up the good work all contributors!

With reference to the D13 chord, if you play strings 1, 3 and 5 at the 5th fret, leaving the other strings open it will give you the sound your looking for. When playing it I find it is pretty straight forward to slide to this from the Em. I use fingers 2 and 3 for the Em and slide finger 2 to the 5th fret and use this to mute string 6. Hope this helps.

Pretty bold calling Dave Grohl an idiot!
I watched this video at home and realized where he gets the cool sound by lifting the index finger up and down during the D chord.
Not real sure on the D13 so I just go back to a D and sounds good to me! Get all finger flusterd on the D13

Excellent !! Would have to give this 5 stars. Although initially the video appears disappointing as far as being a 'tutorial' goes, it was when I spotted the 'Menu' button and what that brings up if you click on it WHILE the video is playing. If you do this, you are presented with other videos, all in my opinion also very good and useful. However, the most useful is that provided by Justin Sandercoe. This is a superb quality in depth tutorial and well worth checking out. Justin also has a web site giving completely free (apparently relying on donations) tutorials so check it out. To conclude, many thanks to all contributors!!

this vid shows Dave Grohl changing the way the tune goes to better suit the acoustic guitar,so he is not just slowing down the original but changing it! a good tip for anyone making an acoustic track from an 'electric' record

This video didn't show me anything but an idiot who made a video. Where is this relevant to learning guitar???
