I think it is either an A/E or could be played as an Fm7/E the E note is definitely in there but I do not hear an E major chord there. I usually play that descending scale in that progression on the sixth string and it ends up 042220 so it has E C# E A C# E what you want to call it is up to you

This is a great song and generally a good transcription. However, there is an incorrect chord in the line: "You're asking me will my love grow." Im pretty sure the Last chord is an E not an A.
e.g A Amaj7 F#m E.

i could not get far with this. Why was this even posted? Please help clean this up. it's one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Of Course take my posting with a pillar of salt. The problem may very well be that I just suck.
Let's keep working on it,

To play like the original go up three semitones to key of C. Intro chords try F Eflat G and between verses;
After 2nd verse use F Eflat A, During chorus use A Amaj7 F#m A D G A 1/2 steps down to E. Use same chords until 2nd i dont know C B A G D E.
Solo on verse chords. After last verse F Eflat G A/ F Eflat G C. Enjoy danagroff10@aol.com
