As for effects... well, Slash has distortion (Marshall Jubilee stack), delay (added at the console) and Wah for the final solo (Crybaby). I think Izzy just has distortion. Oh yeah, they probably have a bit of chorus for the backing behind the verses. great job - at the end, the 'where do we go now' , try Em, G, A and B in an ascending scale and it works, with a B back to an Em to close it out...
