Across The Universe  Fiona Apple

Wo[C]rds are flowing o[AM]ut like endless r[EM]ain into a paper cup
They sli[DM]ther while they pass they slip away[G] across the Universe
Po[C]ols of sorrow, wa[AM]ves of joy are dr[EM]ifting through my opened mind
Po[DM]ssessing and car[FM]essing me
(herein listed as Jai Guru...chorus)

J[C]ai Guru Deva [G]Om
N[G]othing's gonna change my world
N[F]othing's gonna change my w[C]orld
N[G]othing's gonna change my world
N[F]othing's gonna change my w[C]orld

Im[C]ages of br[AM]oken light which da[EM]nce before me like a million e[DM]yes
They call me on and on a[G]cross the Universe
T[C]houghts mea[AM]nder like a restless w[EM]ind inside a letterbox
They tu[DM]mble blindly as they make their way[G] across the Universe
Jai Guru.....chorus

S[C]ounds of laughter, sh[AM]ades of earth are r[EM]inging through my opened ears
I[DM]nciting and in[FM]viting me
L[C]imitless, u[AM]ndying love which sh[EM]ines around me like a million s[DM]uns
And calls me on and on[G] across the Universe
Jai Guru.....chorus

Ok first, the posting for this song was copied from it's original site, and that person wrote the song chords out in the wrong key, as is played in Fionas recording of the song, so he added the notation {capo the 4th}. This does make it doable, but just too sharp sounding on my acoustic, my frets are a little worn, might be just fine on another guitar. The proplem isn't the original, it is the fact that it's posting here on Chordie, that the notation about the capo wasn't included, so it is a little misleading and confusing at first, as it is way off from the recording. No biggie, easy fix...but, I would rather not have to use the capo on the 4th fret...so I made me a new copy of the song, and using that great feature you provide, made the adjustment, and it kicked out the proper chords in the right key, so no need for the capo to play along with the recording...thanks for the tools to make things easy to fix without alot of tic-toc=tic-toc and hassle to get it fixed with the chords that fit to the song, and spares me having to bust out my capo and get all twangy...I really gotta change those frets, I guess I'm just too heavy handed...I always seem to wear out frets on my guitars...Thanks again, and the version I made is in my songbook if you want to use it...benjam61
