Up Where We Belong  Joe Cocker

[D]    [G/D]      [A]        [G/D]               [Gm6/D]
In a world , few heart survive
     [D]      [G/D]     [A]             [G/D]       [Gm6/D]
All I know is the way I feel
      [D]     [G/D]    [A]         [G/D]            [Gm6/D]
When it's real I keep it up alive
          [D]             [D7/F#]             [G]
*Do this again until the chorus starts*

***********************************************

The love lift us up where we belong
[D7/F#]      [Eb]              [Eb/G]                [Ab]
Where the eagles cry
[Cm]          [Fm]        [Eb/G]
On a mountain high
     [Db]         [Ab]      [Bb]     [Eb]
Love lift us up where we belong
            [Eb/G]                     [Ab]
Far from the world we know
[Cm]              [Fm]              [Eb/G]
Where the clear winds blow
          [G/B]            [Cm]        [Abm]
******************************************************

Verse 2:

Some hang on to "used to be"
Live their lives looking behind
All we have is here and now;
All our life, out there to find
The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb them a step every day

Chorus

********************************************************

That's it
Enjoy!

This song can be played with D G C F and a couple other simple chords that I haven't decided on yet and it will sound good.

This is a very poor version because it is incomplete. There is no reference to the introduction which is a crucial part of the arrangement and on which the song relies for its initial 'identity' and several lines are missing. It is probably not worth posting in its current state.

Where's the first line of the song..."Who knows what tomorrow brings?"

Where is the line at the end of the 1st verse... "The road is long there are mountains in the way"
