Corvette Song  George Jones

[D]I stopped off at the quicksack for some [G]beer & cigaret[D]tes
This [G]old man took my mo[D]ney as he stared at my Corv[A]ette
He s[D]aid, I had one just like her son, a 196[G]3
Til' the m[D]an down at the b[A]ank took her from m[D]e
chorus:

I had one that was hotter than a two dollar pistol

she was the fas[G]test thing aro[D]und

[G]Long and lean every y[D]oung man's dream
She turned every head in t[A]own
She was b[D]uilt in from the handles
Son, I'm glad that you walked [G]in
She reminds me of the [D]one I lo[A]ved back t[D]hen
[D]Well I handed him my keys and said, here [A]take her for a s[D]pin
The [G]old man scratched his h[D]ead, then he looked at me and gr[A]inned
He said s[D]on you just don't understand it ain't the car I [G]want
It's the brunette in your v[D]ette that t[A]urns me [D]on
