ALONE AGAIN NATURALLY  Gilbert Osullivan

intro:  [Gbmaj7]   [Gb6]   [Bbm7]   [Eb7]   [Abm7]  [Db7-9]  [Gbmaj7]  [Gb6]
v. 1:
In [Gbmaj7]a little while from [Gb6]now
If I'm [Bbm7]not feeling any less sour
I [Dbm]promise myself to treat myself
        And [Bbm7-5]visit a nearby t[Eb7]ower
        And [Abm7]climbing to the top
        To [Abm7-5]throw myself off
In an [Gb]effort to make it c[Gb+]lear to who-
        ever [Gb6]what it's like when you're s[F7]hattered
        Left [Bbm7]standing in the lurch
        At a c[Dbm]hurch with people s[Eb7]aying
"My [Abm7]God, that's tough, she stood him up
        No [Abm7-5]point in us remaining
W[Gbmaj7]e may as well go[Gb6] home"
        As[Bbm7] I did on my [Eb7]own
        [Abm7]Alone again,[Db7-9] natural[Gbmaj7]ly[Gb6]
v. 2:   To [Gbmaj7]think that only yester[Gb6]day
I was [Bbm7]cheerful bright and gay
Look[Dbm]ing forward to, well, who wouldn't do?
        The [Bbm7-5]role I was about to [Eb7]play
But [Abm7]as if to knock me down
        Re[Abm7-5]ality came around
And with[Gb]out so much as a [Gb+]mere touch
        Cut me [Gb6]into little p[F7]ieces
        Leav[Bbm7]ing me to doubt
Talk a[Dbm]bout God in his m[Eb7]ercy
Who [Abm7]if He really does exist
        Why [Abm7-5]did He desert me
        In [Gbmaj7]my hour of [Gb6]need
        I [Bbm7]truly am in[Eb7]deed
        [Abm7]Alone again,[Db7-9] natural[Gb]ly
bridge:
It [A]seems to me that there are more hearts bro[E7]ken in the world
        Than can be [G#m7-5]mended[C#7-9]
        Left una[A]ttended[D#m7-5]
        What do we[C#maj7] do?
        What do we[G#m7] do?[C#7-9]
(nylon-string guitar solo, verse chords)
v. 3:   Loo[Gbmaj7]king back over the [Gb6]years
        And what[Bbm7]ever else appears
I [Dbm]remember I cried when my father died
Never[Bbm7-5] wishing to hide th[Eb7]e tears
        And [Abm7]at sixty-five years old
My [Abm7-5]mother, God rest her soul
Couldn't[Gb] understand why the [Gb+]only man
She had [Gb6]ever loved had been [F7]taken
        Lea[Bbm7]ving her to start
        With a [Dbm]heart so badly br[Eb7]oken
        Des[Abm7]pite encouragement from me
        No [Abm7-5]words were ever spoken
        W[Gbmaj7]hen she passed a[Gb6]way
        I [Bbm7]cried and cried all[Eb7] day

This is an excellent tab and thanks are due to Mr. Rogers! However, it's missing the first line:
"In a little while from now"

I find it easiest to play semitone lower than first setting which makes the first chord line: Fmaj7 F6, followed by Am7 on the first apparent line.

It's great to have someone who knows his chords; now, just tell me how to play "Clair"...what's listed sounds so wrong.
