Handshake Drugs  Wilco

[D]I was chewing gum for something to do
The bl[G]inds were being pulled d[F]own on the dew
In[D]side out of love, what a laugh
I was looking for y[G]ou       [C]
The saxo[D]phones started blowing me down
I was bu[G]ried in sound
And t[F]axi cabs were driving me ar[D]ound
To the han[G]dshake drugs I bo[C]ught downtown
They were translating poorly
I felt like a clown
I looked like someone I used to know
I felt alright
And if I ever was myself
I wasn't that night

It's ok for you to say what you want from me
I believe that's the only way for me to be
Exactly what you want me to be

I added the C chord to this song and had like many others just used D-G-F, but the pattern alternates between D-G-F to D-G-C and it is especially important to hit the C before the vocals begin. (The piano on the original recording is more obvious) Great song, killer bass line and fun to play live.
