Fixing to Die Rag  Mcdonald Country Joe}{sot}{eot}##song. You may only use this file for private study, scholarship, or research. #{sot}{eot

[G]Uncle sam needs your help again
[D7]Hes got hiself in a fuck of a jam
[G]Way down yonder in South Vietn[G7]am
[C]So put do[Cmin]wn your books an[G]d pick up your guns
        [E]cause were gonna h[A7]ave a whole lo[D7]t of fun
        [D7]And its [A7]one tw[D7]o three
[G]what are we fighting for, d[D7]ont ask me I dont give a damn
        [G]next stop is vietnam
        [D7]and its five s[A7]ix sev[D7]en  op[G]en up the pearly gate[G7]s
        [C]well the[Cmin]re aint [G]no time [E]to wonder why
        [A7]whoppie [D7]were all going t[G]o die
Well thats it roughly. I think I have the chords in the right places, but
I dont have my guitar with me so I not entirely sure. You should find that it
comes together mostly. The C Cmin G bit is best played at the third fret as a
barre. I always play this fairly fast, and loud. Its actually quite a party
piece. There is after all nothing quite like at 20 year old Vietnam protest song
to prove what an irrelevant washed out old hippie that you really are
