Guitar Tabs, Chords and Lyrics

You've got a Friend  James Taylor

[F#m]Close your eyes and t[B7]hink of me and s[Em]oon I wi[B7]ll be t[Em]here
To br[Am7]ighten up e[G/D]ven your darkest n[D7sus4]ight

You just c[G]all out my [Gmaj7]name, and you k[C]now wherever I [Am7]am
I'll come r[G6]unnin[Gmaj7]' , to see you ag[D7sus4]ain
[G]Winter, Spring, Summer o[Gmaj7]r Fall, [C]all you gotta do is [Am7]call
And I'll [Cmaj7]be there,[C/D] yes I wi[D7sus4]ll,
you've got a fri[G]end

If the sky above you should turn dark and full of clouds

And that old North wind should begin to blow

Keep your head together and call my name out loud

Soon, I'll be knocking upon your door

Say a[F]in't it good to know that y[C]ou've got a friend
When p[G]eople can be so cold
They'll [C]hurt you, and d[Fmaj7]esert you,
And [Em7]take your soul if you [A7]let them
Oh Lord, but [D7sus4]don't you let t[D7]hem

On the 4th line, instead of the G/D, try Bm7... it sounds great!
