I sent these lyrics to the person's e-mail who requested them, but
thought you might be interested in them for the Cowpie. I use a picking
technique with C G Am. but don't know how to explain it. (I am more of a
drummer than a guitar player)

I am a new subscriber to Cowpie and wanted you to know how much I
appreciate your time, the website and newsletter. Keep 'em coming!

                 Simple Man
Lynyrd Skynyrd

My momma told me, when I was young,
Come sit beside me, my only son.
And listen closely, to what I say,
And if you do this, it will help you, some sunny day.

Oh take your time, don't live too fast.
Troubles will come, and they will pass.
Well find a woman, and you'll find love,
And don't forget son, there is someone up above.

Chorus: And be a simple kind of man.
Oh be something you'll love and understand.
Baby be a simple kind of man.
Oh won't you do this for me son if you
can.

Get your lust, the rich man's gold.
All that you need, is in your soul.
And you can do this, if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

Repeat Chorus:

Oh don't you worry, you'll find yourself.
Follow your heart, and nothing else.
And you can do this, if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

Repeat chorus:

Oh won't you do this for me son, if you can.

Repeat Chorus:

No blue days come sun or rain as long as you smile away the pain
