Jackson  Johnny Cash/June Cash

[C]We got married in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout
[C]We've been talking 'bout Jackson [C7]ever since the fire went out
[C]I'm going to [F]Jackson, gonna mess a[C]round
[C]yeah, I'm going to [F]Jackson, [G7]look out Jackson town

[C]Go on down to Jackson, go ahead and wreck your health
[C]Go play your hand, you big talking man, and [C7]be all by yourself
[C]Yeah, go to [F]Jackson, comb your [C]hair
[C]Yeah, I'm gonna sn[G7]ow ball [F]Jackson, see if I care

[C]When I breeze into that city, people goona stoop and bow
[C]all them women gonna make me [C7]teach 'em what they don't know how
[C]aw, I'm going to [F]Jackson, turn loose'a my [C]coat,
[C]yeah, I'm going to [F]Jackson, good[G7]bye, that's all she wrote
[C]and I find you in Jackson, and I'll be dancin' on a forty keg
[C]and into that hotel like a scalded hound, with your [C7]tail tucked 'ween your legs
[C]yeah, go to [F]Jackson, you big talking [F]man
[C]and I'll be waiting in [F]Jackson and [G7]jaypin [C]bell
[C]We got married in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout
[C]We've been talking 'bout Jackson [C7]ever since the fire went out
[C]I'm going to [F]Jackson, and that's a [C]fact
[C]yeah, I'm going to [F]Jackson, ain't never comin' [C]back

looks good and plays well.

gbillheimer@bluelink.ando (report)

Looks like someone corrected the missing C chord at end of verses. Lyrics are straight out of the Live at Folsom Prison album, except June Carter sings "Go comb your hair", not "Comb your hair".

scrimmy82 (report)

The verses of the song are inaccurate, C played at the end of each verse and the lyrics are wrong also.

DIXIEFLIER (report)

surely G7 must resolve to C in each case. And are the verses of this song not identical.
