Artist: Jimi Hendrix
Song: Voodoo Child

Jimi Hendrix, Voodoo Child (Slight Return).
Tabbed by Jeremy Blessing, Huggbee08@aol.com.

I think this is more correct than your other posting. It is in E minor.

Here's the intro. First, strum some silenced strings in the style Jimi does, than play this three times.

e|------------------------------------------------X-X-X-|
B|------------------------------------------------X-X-X-|
G|------------------------------------------------X-X-X-|
D|--14p12-----12---------------------14p12-----14-X-X-X-|
A|-------h14-------10--10-12p10-----------h14-----X-X-X-|
E|-----------------------------h12----------------X-X-X-|

Then after playing that 3 times, play this once.
e|------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------|
D|--14p12-----12---------------------14p12-----12-|
A|-------h14-------10--10-12p10-----------h14-----|
E|-----------------------------h12----------------|

    Bend^ Release Bend
e|-------------------|
B|-------------------|
G|--14----14p12------|
D|---------------14--|
A|-------------------|
E|-------------------|
He plays this again between chords sometimes too.

After you play that, you go into a simple E minor strumming pattern with mini solos inbetween.

e|-------------|
B|-------------|
G|-------------|
D|--2--2-2--2--|
A|--2--2-2--2--|
E|--0--0-3--0--|

And just repeat that and solo inbetween. A few things he does are:

e|-----------------------|
B|--3p0h3p0h3p0h3p0h3p0--|
G|-----------------------|
D|-----------------------|
A|-----------------------|
E|-----------------------|

e|--------------------------|
B|--------------------------|
G|--------------------------|
D|--------------------------|
A|--15--17--15--17--15--12--|
E|--------------------------|

    Bend^ Release Bend
e|-------------------|
B|-------------------|
G|--14----14p12------|
D|---------------14--|
A|-------------------|
E|-------------------|

For the rest, solo in the following scales:

e|--------------------------------------0--2--3--|
B|--------------------------------0--3-----------|
G|-----------------------0--2--3-----------------|
D|-----------------0--2--------------------------|
A|--------0--1--2--------------------------------|
E|--0--3-----------------------------------------|

e|-------------------------------10-12--|
B|-------------------------10-12--------|
G|--------------------9-12--------------|
D|--------------9-12--------------------|
A|--------10-12-------------------------|
E|--10-12-------------------------------|

e|--------------------------------------12-14-15--|
B|--------------------------------12-15-----------|
G|-----------------------12-14-15-----------------|
D|-----------------12-14--------------------------|
A|--------12-13-14--------------------------------|
E|--12-15-----------------------------------------|

e|--------------------------------15-17--|
B|--------------------------15-17--------|
G|--------------------14-16--------------|
D|--------------14-17--------------------|
A|--------14-17--------------------------|
E|--15-17--------------------------------|

e|--------------------------------17-19--|
B|--------------------------17-20--------|
G|--------------------16-19--------------|
D|--------------17-19--------------------|
A|--------17-19--------------------------|
E|--17-19--------------------------------|

That's pretty much it, here's the lyrcis.

Well I stand up next to a mountain,
Chop it down with the edge of my hand.
Well I stand up next to a mountaion,
Chop it down with the edge of my hand.
Well I pick up all the pieces, make an island,
Might even raise a little sand, yea.

'Cause I'm a Voodoo Child...
Lord knows I'm a Voodoo Child baby!!

(SOLO)

I'm sorry I had to waste your time,
I swear, I'll give it right back to ya' one of these days.
I said I'm sorry I had to waste up all your sweet time,
I swear I'll give it right back to ya' one of these days!!
I don't need you no more in this world,
I'll meet you in the next one, now don't be late.
I said I don't 'a need you no more in this world,
I'll meet you in the next one, so don't be late,
Don't be late!!
'Cause I'm a Voodoo Child...
Lord knows I'm a Voodoo Child baby!!

Voodoo Child baby,
I'll take you to th next one, after,
Just to let you know.
