over the outro lines play [verse part 2]then [intro], for example:
[<---------------verse part 2---------------------------->]

[F]1 leap forwards [G]2 leaps back, will p[C]oli[C/B]tics get [Am]me the s[G]ack

[<----verse part 2-------->][<-----------intro---------->]

[F]waiting for the [G]great leap f[C]orwards [C/B]    [Am]   [Am]    [C]  [C/B]    [Am]   [Am]

Here's the full thing

1.
[play verse part1]
         [C]It may have been c[C/B]amelot for   J[Am]ack and   Jacquel[G]ine
or on the Che Guevara highway filling up with gasoline
Fidel Castro's brother spies a rich lady who's crying over
luxury's disappointment so he walks over and he's trying

[play verse part2]
to sy[F]mpathise with h[G]er but he th[C]inks that [C/B]he should [Am]warn her
G         F              G              [play intro]
that the third world is just around the corner

[C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]      [C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]

2.
[play verse part1]
        [C]in the Soviet [C/B]Union,     a sc[Am]ientist is bl[G]inded
by the resumption of nuclear testing and he is reminded*

[play verse part2]
that D[F]octor Robert [G]Oppenheimer's [C]opti[C/B]mism f[Am]ell  [G]
F  G               [play intro]
at the first hurdle

[C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]      [C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]

3.
        [C]In the cheese pa[C/B]vilion,         the [Am]only noise I       [G]hear
is the sound of someone stacking chairs and mopping up spilled beer

and s[F]omeone asking q[G]uestions and b[C]asking[C/B] in the l[Am]ight
G      F                    G                       [play intro]
of the fifteen fame filled minutes of the fanzine writer

[C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]      [C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]

4.

[C]Mixing pop and [C/B]politics,       he [Am]asks me what the u[G]se is
I offer him embarrassment and my usual excuses*

while l[F]ooking down the [G]corridor out to wh[C]ere the [C/B]van is w[Am]aiting[G]
     F              G           [play intro]
I'm looking for the great leap forwards

[C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]      [C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]

5.
[C]Jumble sales are [C/B]organised and          pam[Am]phlets have been p[G]osted
even after closing time, there's still parties to be hosted*

           [F]                [G]         [C] [C/B] [Am]
you can be active with the activists or sleep in with the sleepers
[G]while you're
F               G           [play intro]
waiting for the great leap forwards

[C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]      [C]   [C/B]     [Am]    [Am]
[outro]:
oh [F]1 leap forwards [G]2 leaps back, will [C]poli[C/B]tics get [Am]me the [G]sack
  F              G           C [intro] C/B  Am  Am
waiting for the great leap forwards

well h[F]ere comes the future and you c[C]ant run from it
if [C]you've got a [C/B]blacklist I [Am]wanna be [G]on it
  F              G           C [intro] C/B  Am  Am
waiting for the great leap forwards

well its a m[F]ighty long way down r[G]ock and roll
from [C]top of the [C/B]pops to dr[Am]awing the [G]dole
         F              G           C [intro] C/B  Am  Am
you're waiting for the great leap forwards

if [F]no-one out there [G]understands
start your o[C]wn revo[C/B]lution and [Am]cut out the m[G]iddleman
  F              G           C [intro] C/B  Am  Am
waiting for the great leap forwards

in a p[F]erfect world we'd all s[G]ing in tune
but th[C]is is r[C/B]eality so g[Am]ive me some r[G]oom
  F              G           C [intro] C/B  Am  Am
waiting for the great leap forwards

so j[F]oin the struggle wh[G]ile you may
the revol[C]ution is [C/B]just a [Am]T-shirt aw[G]ay
  F              G           C [intro] C/B  Am  Am
waiting for the great leap forwards

d is a downstroke
u is an upstroke (kind of a lazy, incidental one)
h is a hammer on

* at the end of the last line of [verse part 1], the walk up from the G
to the C *might* be replaced by a walk up from a C to an F, so it'd be
the same fingering as the other lines of the verse, but move the end bit
all up one string
