Scarlet Begonias  Grateful Dead

[E]As I was walkin' down Grosvenor [B]Square,
Not a [E]chill to the winter but a nip to the [B]air,
[A]From the other di[E]rec[B]tion [A]she was calling my [E]eye,
[A]Could be an il[E]lu[B]sion [A]but I might as well [E]try, might as well [B]try.
She had [E]rings on her fingers and bells on her [B]shoes,
And I [E]knew without askin' she was into the [B]blues.
[A]She wore scarlet [E]begon[B]ias [A]tucked into her [E]curls,
[A]I knew right [E]away [B]she was [A]not like other [E]girls, other [B]girls.
In the [E]thick of the evening when the dealin' got [B]rough,
She was [E]too pat to open and too cool to [B]bluff.
[A]As I picked up my [E]match[B]es [A]and was closin' the [E]door,
[A]I had one of those [E]flash[B]es, [A]I'd been there be[E]fore, been there be[B]fore.
Well I [F#]ain't often right but I've never been wrong,
[B]Seldom turns out the way it [A]does in the [E]song.
[F#]Once in a while you get shown the light
In the [B]strangest of places if you [A]look at it [E]right.
[F#]  [A]  [B]
Well there [E]ain't nothin' wrong with the way she [B]moves,
Or [E]scarlet begonias or a touch of the [B]blues.
[A]And there's nothing [E]wrong [B]with the [A]look that's in her [E]eyes
[A]I had to learn the [E]hard [B]way [A]to let her pass [E]by, let her pass [B]by.
The [E]wind in the willow's playing "Tea for [B]Two,"
The [E]sky was yellow and the sun was [B]blue,
[A]Strangers stopping [E]stran[B]gers [A]just to shake their [E]hand,
[A]Everybody's [E]play[B]ing in the [A]heart of gold [E]band, heart of gold [B]band.
As always, could someone please send this and the others to Nevada? Thanks a

As I picked up my matches and strode to the door,

missing the A at the end of each line

the first b sounds better as a b7 in the first position if you're playing solo acoustic (i think). then to run the signature riff 2nd fret on the a string>1st fret d string>hammer on/pull 2nd fret d string and then on down the d..try it, sounds good
