Topic: camp chordie

Here's a poem I wrote and maybee can turn it into a little ditty. My apoligies to anyone offeneded
or left out, music, camping, fun, and screech.

A lot of talent here
get out your guitars
we'll sing about trains
and do some camp fire songs
one day we'll meet
by the river side
Zurf is our cook
with his cooler by his side

There's Roger Guppy
with his twinkle toes
Lena Donavan's here
she brought lots of clothes
James Mac Cormick's too
with his autoharp
looks like rain
we better get our tarp.

from London, Ontario
it's Kap 54
all the way from Scotland
Upyerkilt is at the door
Newfie screech and camping
really don't mix
but when your in the woods
you gotta get a fix.

Anyone want to add to it   feel free.  How much fun would we have if we could converge at
a camp site for a few days eh. oh the jams we would have....

Re: camp chordie

My little bit:

We got Phill Williams ,who could tell stories about the welsh
Then theres Alvee 33, who could read us a little mail
Stransongs, who could be camp counsler for the day
I know Jet60 could think of games to play
Ravenlady on guitar her husband on the bass
Zurf could teach me how to fish
Daddycool got the beer huray!
Badeyes got the food
Guitardocphil the medic on call
And Old Dolls got her pretty voice
So i guess that be all

Hope that okay Badeye. I love writing things spur of the moment.

Right on Selso, spur of the moment is good.

Re: camp chordie

you two got this covered between you, music wise i think a little banjo and jug bass would fit just dandy.

phill

ps. can't think of anything to add, this damn cold is blocking up my composing synapses.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: camp chordie

Right on Badeye and selso, Me thinks this is a long over due tune. Lord knows we got the material and the characters on board for good ole, down home, banjo pickin, guitar lickin dobro fitting song. smile
I can hear the "Crash Helmet Jug Band" doing a fine job with this.

Time to start thinking more lyrics. smile

Well Done

Re: camp chordie

Great idea Badeye, how's about -

And then there's the lurker,
The "I won't post" shirker.
He stands by the corner
And picks up his guitar
And we watch in amazement
As he wrings out his chops
Proving playin, not writin',
Is where the buck stops.
